Earthship Brighton provides an ideal environment to teach children and young people about sustainable living. The building's solar panels, wind turbine, rainwater harvesting and the use of waste materials in its construction make it a fascinating and inspiring place in which to learn.

"Our visits have been eye openers and developed awareness for youngsters who wouldn't normally consider ecology or environment as important issues in their lives." Charly Greensted, Oakmeed Community College

"What a fabulous trip we had today! It was perfect, the kids loved it and your team were brilliant with really great information and fantastic activities!" - Kirsten Monks, Balfour Junior School

We offer a variety of activities that can be tailored to suit your school's needs, curriculum subjects or projects.  Many areas of the curriculum are covered, particularly science, geography and citizenship.  There are also links with the international 'Eco Schools award programme' and the UK's 'Sustainable Schools' area of Teacher Net, especially the topics of Energy, Water, Waste, Growing, Biodiversity and Healthy Living.

All activities are risk-assessed and designed to engage the visitor to learn through discussion and hands-on participation. The experience provides an opportunity for pupils to develop knowledge and understanding of environmental issues and nature in a fun and enjoyable way.
